When You Don’t Know What You Need (But You Know It’s Not Another To-Do List)
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just kind of… meh? This one's for you.
There are days I wake up and think, “Okay, today’s the day I get it together.” And then by 10:17 AM I’ve scrolled TikTok too long, eaten three weird snacks, and cried about a commercial. Not exactly a productivity queen moment.
The truth is, sometimes we’re not unmotivated—we’re just emotionally full. Overstimulated. Tapped out.
And what we need isn’t another list.
It’s space.
So if you’re in that “I-don’t-know-what-I-need” season...
Try these 5 tiny reset ideas that require zero commitment, zero guilt, and might just shift your energy:
🧠 1. Do a brain dump, not a plan.
Write out everything swirling in your head. Don’t organize it. Don’t fix it. Just get it out. Sometimes our brains need a declutter, not a new system.
🕯 2. Change your environment.
Light a candle. Move to a different chair. Open a window. Take your laptop to the couch or your coffee outside. You don’t need a vacation—just a vibe shift.
☕ 3. Make one cozy thing.
A warm drink, a comfort meal, a playlist that feels like a hug. Anything that reminds you that you are allowed to feel good even when the world feels hard.
📵 4. Step away from the scroll.
Even just for 15 minutes. No pressure to journal or meditate—just exist without input. You’re already carrying a lot. You don’t need 17 more opinions in your brain.
💬 5. Say it out loud.
To a friend, your pet, or your voice notes. “I don’t know what I need right now, but I’m trying.” That counts. That matters.
You don’t have to be “on” all the time. You don’t have to fix everything today.
You just have to keep showing up with a little softness and a lot of grace.
Sending you a cozy exhale and a reminder: You’re not behind. You’re human.
xo,
Kerri
